Camembert, it's first and foremost an encounter. Seven musicians from Strasbourg each influenced by different musical backgrounds. As a matter of fact in their music finds its roots in jazz, classical or contemporary music but also and mainly in progressive rock from the seventies. Hit play and you will listen to a band that does not fear the experiment.
In the beginning there were three members making the actual rock core of the band with bass, drums and guitar. Later on other instruments were brought in like harp, trumpet, trombone and lately vibraphone and percussions.
We played one of our first concert at the Molodoï, Strasbourg in September 2007. We are very eager to share another slice of that moving cheese with you. See you guys at our next gig, with our new compositions... Album available at the beginning of 2010 but we can buy " Clacosmique EP " ! Take a look at our brand video that was made during a gig at jazz off festival in september 2008. We're recording our album very soon so come and visit us soon !

Camembert est un groupe de Jazz Rock Progressif influencé par toutes les musiques actuelles : le Jazz, le Funk, le Reggae, le Métal, les musiques latino-américaines et le Rock entre autres !
Le but avoué du groupe est de proposer aux auditeurs une musique novatrice au très large spectre d’influence, à la grande narrativité, avec une formation instrumentale unique au monde !
Composé de sept musiciens allant de la Harpe classique, aux instruments électriques, aux cuivres, au vibraphone et aux percussions, Camembert a réussi son pari de faire vivre une musique audacieuse et d’ une rare finesse en faisant depuis 2007 des concerts uniques à chaque fois renouvelés.
Le groupe enregistra « Clacosmique EP » au studio Downtown à Strasbourg en novembre 2008 et profita de cette occasion pour réorchestrer son répertoire en y ajoutant de nouvelles couleurs sonores et harmoniques.
« Clacosmique » est une suite de morceaux d’une grande force narrative, aux interludes savamment orchestrés, qui amorce un voyage aux cinq continents. L’album paraît alors en 2011…
